I recently posted my first video about SvBony SV545 telescope where I shared the setup process and first images taken with it. When setting up the telescope for the first time, I wasn’t quite happy with the placement of my mini PC and powerbox on the rig, so I decided to create a custom made SV545 telescope adapter that slides on top of the Vixen dovetail that comes with SV545. Below are some looks of the adapter in Blender software. Please consider checking out the video above for more details.

Some people have asked me to share a printing file so that they can also print the adapter themselves. Please share your email by subscribing to my newsletter, and I will send you a link to the file to print. Please note that I featured a test version of the adapter in my video, and that’s exactly the same file I’m sharing with you. I’m currently working on an upgraded version of this adapter that will be available for sale in the U.S. Stay tuned!

I used PETG-CF filament to print SV545 telescope adapter, and I’m happy with how it works. You might be fine with using just regular PETG filament, but carbon fiber add durability and enhances the print quality. I’ve had a few imaging sessions with this configuration that went great!
